I’m Andy Barker, a Wellington wedding photographer with fifteen years behind the lens. I’m a documentary shooter at heart. The best photographs happen when people forget the camera is even there, so my whole job is to keep the day relaxed and let those genuine moments shine through.
That means less posing and more of the real thing: the nervous laugh before the first look, the speeches that land, the dance floor at midnight. I’ll step in with a little gentle direction when it helps the portraits sing, then step back so you can simply be in it.
Everything is edited by hand with a warm, filmic finish and delivered fast. A complete gallery within seventy-two hours, while the day is still fresh. When I’m not shooting you’ll usually find me on the Wellington waterfront with a flat white in hand.
