Martinborough is a vineyard wedding in miniature: a compact village ringed by some of New Zealand's best-known wineries, where you can walk between cellar door, ceremony, and reception. I specialise in weddings here and know the wine-country light and logistics well.

Poppies Martinborough and Tirohana Estate are perennial favourites for their long-table receptions and vineyard backdrops, while Ata Rangi and Margrain bring some of the region's most storied vines into your photos. For something in the heart of the village, the Martinborough Hotel suits intimate, micro-wedding celebrations beautifully. Note that some vineyard venues, Poppies among them, host mostly mid-week and Friday weddings, so it's worth locking in dates early. Martinborough is around an hour and a quarter from Wellington, so a small travel fee may apply.
